In July of 2018 the North American Native Deciduous Azalea Collection became a Nationally Accredited Plant Collection. Awarded by the Plant Collections Network, a program of the American Public Gardens Association as "the standard of excellence in plant collections management demonstrating an enduring commitment towards global efforts to save plants."
Established in 1978 in memory of Nancy Moss Fine '51. Fifteen species and three natural hybrid azaleas native from Florida to Maine are . At least one species can be found in bloom from late April through mid-August. This special garden is located to the right (north) of the main entrance and Laurel Walk. Learn more about the garden.
